What Parents Need to Know...

IICSN values our families and the support they offer our students
Parents are the child's first teacher
Literacy skills are developed in the home and continued through parent and family time
Our volunteers help to make our school a safe place for all of us to work and learn together
Parental feedback is vital to the development of a powerful learning community
Building a powerful learning community means building individual strengths and expertise
Parents, students, and the school are all responsible for buidling and maintaining a love for learning
 
All parents and family members are welcomed at IICSN. You may visit the school at any time to see what we are doing and to see what we have accomplished to date.
 
In order to truly appreciate the academic achievement of our students, we would ask our parents to do the following:
  • Volunteer to help in your child's classroom
  • Get to know the vision and mission of the school
  • Become a member of our Parent/Teacher Organization
  • Talk to your child dailywhile checking for what he /she has learned
  • Make an appointment with your child's teacher
  • Get to know what your child is learning each day
  • Remember, our school is a learning community, we all work to help our children
