Parents,
The first quarter is behind us and a new one begins and so do all the grading periods. Each teacher along with administration is stressing the importance of completing all homework and classwork assignments, in addition, to attending school promptly and every day.
This week has proven to be quite successful for most every student in 4-C. Very few were absent or late to class. Kudos to all of you.
As your child(ren's) teacher, I always have the highest of expectations for their success in my classroom. Please check out the link you find on the left side of this page near the bottom and you will be able to read more about the classroom rules, and even more about your teacher.
Wow! 4-A won the Cici’s pizza lunch for having the highest number of familyparticipants at the recent Innovations’ fund raiser. The lunch was great. A thank you goes to the parents that brought in dessert brownies and beverages for our lunch. Let’s win again in November....Nov. 10, 2011 at Cici’s, Charleston & Decatur in the Walmart center area.
My snack supply has dwindled to ZERO. We could use some for special times once again. This week there was testing in the cafeteria so 4-C had to be extra quiet. Snacks would have been nice for them. IF PARENTS WOULD LIKE TO PROVIDE IN-BULK FOR 25 + STUDENTS, I SUGGEST THE LITTLE DEBBIE OATMEAL COOKIE SANDWICHES, ANIMAL CRACKERS, PRETZELS, SLICED APPLES -SEALED IN A BAG, AND SALTINES CRACKERS - GOLD FISH ARE OK TOO. ALSO CHIPS IN INDIVIDUAL BAGS ARE ACCEPTABLE.
I appreciate the parents following the "THE DO-NOTS" request. It really helps the students and the teacher for class participation and better work for the students. THANK YOU!
PLEASE CONTINUE THIS REQUEST: DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD WITH ANY SODAS, GATORADE OR POWER DRINKS OF ANY KIND, NO COLORED JUICES OF ANY KIND UNLESS YOU SEND ORANGE JUICE TO HAVE WITH LUNCH IN THE CAFETERIA. CLEAR JUICES ARE THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE ONES ON CAMPUS, AND OF COURSE WATER (NOT CLEAR, FLAVORED WATER OR CRYSTAL LITE). PLEASE DO NOT SEND FROZEN WATER AS THE CONDENSATION ON THE DESKS MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO TEXT MATERIALS

P.S.
There are a lot of "Do Nots" in this information, however, I don't think there is anything you haven't heard from a teacher that expects the highest and best of their students for success.
Every child can learn and in my classroom KIDS spells Knowledge In Developing States. Each student brings with them their own learning abilities and willingness to grow to their highest and best potential.
Parents, if have time to stay on the first day for opening, I welcome you for a few minutes. It will be a busy, busy morning, but you will hear me reiterate almost everything I am saying in this web-posting.
