Welcome to 5th grade literacy and 6th grade literature! This website will summarize the expectations of our classroom. Our schedule and homework assignments will be posted here on a monthly basis. Students who claim they cannot complete their homework because they have lost or misplaced it can either print it from a link here, or e-mail me and I will send them a new copy to print at home or at the library.
Students will often work in groups or pairs, collaboratively, to accomplish individual and classroom assignments, projects, and goals. There will be group and individual oral presentations required.
Parents should check grades weekly in all classes. If you have questions about how to access your student’s grades, please feel free to contact me and I will help you with the procedure.

I am the coach of IICSN's Baton Twirling Team fondly known as ABC, Ambassador Baton Corps.
Baton Twirling is a global designed to help students refine their motor skills, develop teamwork, and prepare for presentations of skills. Students in this 
global will also learn to march in preparation for the MLK Jr. Parade in January.
The school provides each student with a baton, so there is no need to purchase your own. If you would like your student to have a baton of their own here is the website where you can place your order.
Please e-mail me for your student's baton size. I recommend the "Champion"model and your student may select any color he/she wants. ***IT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR YOU TO PURCHASE A BATON FOR YOUR STUDENT FOR BATON TWIRLING.***
