Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year!
I am excited to be back and see our returning students and meeting our new students. We have some exciting changes. First is the addition of a third special education teacher; we welcome April McGill to our family. We also have the addition of Andrew Clarke to the third grade team. I look forward to working with our students and teachers to help them attain a successful school experience.
We are giving particular attention to assisting our children meet language arts, math, and science expectations as we move from the previous Nevada standards to the Common Core Curriculum standards that were adopted earlier this year by our legislature and 35 other states across the nation.
Please feel free to contact me whenever you have concerns, questions, or want to share successes. I will do the same. I would appreciate having your email so that a dialogue can be started and open communication can occur throughout the school year. Please let us know if you have a change of address or telephone numbers, and also any medication changes that might occur over the course of the year. This will allow us to help you with information that might be needed by your physician.
