Attendance Success
During the middle school years at Innovations International Charter School of Nevada (IICSN), it is critical for students to have a well-balanced educational program prioritizing mathematics, English, reading, science, social studies, career and technical education, fine arts or exploratory classes, health, and physical education.
Innovations offers a rigorous, relevant curriculum aligned with the Nevada Academic Content Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards. Our vision is to ensure that every enrolled student be given access to STEAM learning through elective classes, exploration classes, and hands-on learning. Innovation’s middle school sets the foundation for developing and nurturing strong academic habits, self-discipline, critical thinking skills, problem-solving strategies, presentation skills, research, and the exploration of unique individualized interests. These skills are developed using a robust, rigorous curriculum.
Innovations' teaching staff work to differentiate instruction and curriculum materials to meet individual student needs. This continual process involves assessing students' strengths and areas of challenge and by communicating these levels to parents and families. Parents or guardians are to be informed regularly regarding the level of work being done by their children. Teachers and principals are to make this clear through the use of the report card, progress reports, and parent conferences.
Students identified as at risk for retention will be provided opportunities to participate in remediation programs on site. Summer programs, tutorial programs, and before and after school programs will also be communicated to the parents as viable options for credit accumulation and/or retrieval.
