Senior and Legacy Cadets (Grades 9-12)
Purposeful Learning. Advanced Leadership. Collaboration. Growth.
A typical day for Senior and Legacy Cadets at Innovations blends rigorous academics, leadership development, collaboration, innovation, and future-focused learning experiences designed to prepare students for success beyond high school.
Students engage in standards-based instruction while strengthening independence, communication, time management, research, critical thinking, and problem solving skills through meaningful academic and real-world learning opportunities.
Throughout the day, students may participate in:
- Advanced academic coursework and Dual Credit opportunities
- Collaborative discussions, projects, and presentations
- Technology-integrated and research-based learning experiences
- Leadership, mentorship, and teamwork opportunities
- Career and college readiness activities
- Innovation, STEAM, and creative exploration experiences
- Goal setting, organization, and future planning
Senior and Legacy Cadets are encouraged to take ownership of their academic progress while developing the confidence, responsibility, professionalism, and adaptability needed for future success. As students progress through the Senior and Legacy Cadet years, they are also encouraged to demonstrate responsibility through academic commitment, leadership, collaboration, communication, time management, and positive contributions to the school community while serving as guides and role models for younger students following their own pathways.
Whether participating in a classroom discussion, collaborating on a project, engaging in research, mentoring younger students, completing Dual Credit coursework, exploring career interests, or leading school activities, students experience a learning environment designed to strengthen both academic achievement and personal growth.
At Innovations, high school students are not simply preparing to graduate - they are preparing to lead, contribute, adapt, and thrive in college, careers, military service, entrepreneurship, and future opportunities beyond the classroom.
At Innovations, the Senior and Legacy Cadet experience strengthens motivation, responsibility, leadership, creativity, communication, problem solving, and self-expression through refined support, guidance, and meaningful learning experiences during the final phases of students' leadership pathways and high school journey. These experiences help students transition into confident, capable, and future-ready young adults prepared to lead, contribute, and succeed beyond graduation.
