Cadets (Grades 6-8)

A typical day for a Cadet at Innovations blends strong academic instruction, guided practice, collaboration, leadership opportunities, and hands-on exploration.
Cadets begin their day in a structured learning environment where teachers guide students through standards-based instruction designed to build strong academic foundations and critical thinking skills.
Throughout the day, students engage in:

Cadets are encouraged to take ownership of their learning while developing communication, responsibility, organization, and future-ready skills that prepare them for high school and beyond.
Whether working through a math challenge, collaborating on a science investigation, designing a project in Innovation Studio, participating in physical education, or presenting ideas to classmates, students experience a learning environment built around engagement, growth, and discovery.
At Innovations, middle school students are not simply preparing for the next grade level - they are developing the confidence, independence, and leadership skills needed for future success.
Student Wellness and Creative Exploration
Cadets participate in enrichment and exploration courses that support creativity, communication, wellness, collaboration, and personal growth. These learning experiences encourage students to discover their interests, strengthen confidence, and develop skills that extend beyond the traditional classroom.
Through physical education and health courses, students build teamwork, healthy habits, physical wellness, and self-management skills that support lifelong well-being.
Explorations classes provide opportunities for students to engage in creative and performance-based learning experiences through:
